TAD with Pillars

Hello Forum..
May I present....

A new design, with something I wanted to try for a long time..
Columns/Pillars....
The late Collector, Steve Piesner had Paul Rubino's Cue that had Columns/Pillars..

In Joint Protectors, The design is always limited to the obstruction of the Internal Threaded Bore (Hole), the Cue's Joint Diameter, and, Height limitations.
"Form Follows Function"

So many things have to "Come Together", to complete the Cue Cap.
Component size selection and restraints, Machining Processes and Techniques required to accomplish the specifics of each part.

" From Conception To Reality"
Something you can see and feel in your hand.

In the mean time,

Hello Forum.
Thanks for posting guys..
Lots of nice cues coming out this week.

Here is some small Ovals that I call " Sub Features ", as, these inlays go between the "Main Featured Inlay".

For a "4 Point" Design,
the main inlay shape is on the 90* indexing, ( 0* 90*, 180*, and 270*..)
And,
the ovals, ( Sub Features) would be inlayed on the 45* 135*, 225, and the 315* indexing.

I like that, very unique. It is nice to see unique design to push boundaries . That stands out . Pearls were a very good thought. You should explore more gemstones /amber. I collect old fossils and have often wondered if a old shark tooth or stingray barb could be imbedded in a cue in a discreet manner that wouldnt be tacky.

Hi Buteo,
Thanks .
( No disrespect to you or anyone when I type/talk  )
Yes, there is a lot of cool things that can be on a Joint Protector.. :)
I would like to use those and other exotic Materials..
Opportunity to use them, is limited to only what I get commissioned for.. LOL
Like hershey mentioned above, I have to stay within the boundaries of the Cue's Theme, colors, materials, style (although, sometimes I do venture).

" The feel and design of that cue " - Hershey :grin-square:

For me, I have to remember that the JP is for the cue, and, the cue owner's "Pride in ownership".. Of the Cue Maker..
I know I am not supposed to be apart of the cue and the cue's owner.
sort of, " Like the frame around a painting" .. A good frame should enhance/flow with the painting, and can make or break the painting/artwork..
Thanks for Posting..

Since you guys came here to read, and, I bumped this post to the top again.
Here's something new to see...
Hey JT... Here's a photo of the Oval.. :)
