Go to a large body shop and tell em u want to buy a gallon of thinner. if they say no then go to the the next place. Better yet call first.

Yes Big Brother.
I did and bought a 5 gallon can.
Let the fun begin and hopefully save the gun.

I use Klean Strip LT.
I know it cleans the gun really well.
And I don't see ill-effects on wood.
My auto shop does sell 1 gallon of virgin/pure acetone cheap.
I use that lightly before spraying on sealed pieces.
Evaporates instantly.
I was told the acetone sold at Lowe's and HD are pretty much crap.

I used a product for cleaning spray guns that worked very well. Was a dupont product but for the life of me can't remember the name. The crap would melt harden paint in a flash. I think it was some type of lye. If you got one little drop on your skin you would think someone was holding a lit match to your arm. I'm sure if you look around there's some product out there that will clean you up. Strip the gun completely down and soak everything. Use a compatible gun grease for reassembly. You should be good to go.
