Picked up this nice little It's George cue. Wondering if anyone can shed some light on why it's a 5/16-14 flat-face pin? It's a nice cue, and moves the rock extremely well.

I have never seen one.

Wow, that's a monster size insert in that shaft! Installation is a little raggedy. Makes me wonder if that's original as these cues were typically cleanly constructed. But I really don't know.

Cue looks to be in nice condition. Nice find.

Unusual, to say the least.

I saw a couple like this in the 90's. Shaft does not look like the original insert. Jmo

Easy to tell. The shaft shouldn’t screw onto a a Schon cue. If it does, then it should be a damn tight fit. Otherwise if it fits a Joss cue, it’s not an original shaft.

Having the correct tap was common for some of us back in the day, the real questionable point is the brass insert with the 9/16" head.
