Roasted Maple Shafts??

So I play guitar and own a bunch of guitars. One of the newer trends is a roasted Maple neck. I was wondering why we haven’t seen this in shafts, or maybe Cuemaker just haven’t been exposed to this. Aside from the looks, the reasoning is supposed better resistance to movement. Just curious

Some call it Kielwood, and shafts are available from Prather.
