We have m,w,fri,sat,sun
No need to ever play leagues if you don’t want to.
No commitment
Play more than 1 match
15 dollars for any of them
Win money
People take it more serious than league
Don’t have to worry about those who don’t pay or show up
No rule nazis

I CAN go on, we are both lucky to live in tournament areas.

Glad to hear, I live in northern VA, we have a few monthly tournaments around but it's hard to find action other than at tournaments. Pool just doesn't get the attention it used too. There's not even any televised events anymore. I think its time for another movie to come out.

SLC, not so booming.

This thread is making me a bit jealous. Salt Lake City has about 1.5 million people. There are zero weekly tournaments and as for 9 foot tables - only one bowling alley with a few beat up Gold Crowns.

There is one bar with 7 - 7' Diamond tables and I've heard that league night is pretty good, but that's it.

In Mid-Michigan you can find a tourney just about everyday of the week, considering short travel, everyday. Some days more than one.

Leagues can change that up some as summer leagues aren't nearly as popular.

Wasn't until I joined a pool group on Facebook that I realized how many tourneys are going on. Also, the higher caliber tourneys around the State. Been off fb for almost a year now so I don't see that stuff anymore.

What irritates me about some of the tourneys is they let too many people in and the thing takes forever. My local bar starts at 7pm and finishes close to 1am or later.
