Wanted Hornbeam wood for shafts

want stiff heavy shaftwood

I just want enough for half a dozen cues

i bought one of those russian cues
i liked it

now i want to buy the hornbeam wood only for shafts

or anything that is heavy and firm

Wiilie Blade made me a long cue

it was a dandy
very pretty in a way
with extension it was 68 inches

i was ,as usual,experimenting and i like the cue,
butSteve Smith AKA 'The Lizard" had seen a russian playing with one
steve fell in love with mine so he called me from Houston explaining that

I did not need the good playing cue because nobody was playing
in dallas and he was trying to make money

so i mailed it to him and he has been playing everyday with it

well i started playing an ivory joint schon that i had designed and i fell in love with it


i have always felt like the shafts were the main thing
hence this search for hornbeam


i might need to contact willie blade

i might as well give him a serious compliment

those loud cues,loud looking, are inexpensive,pretty and play good
