Table identification

My name is Charles. I’ve been reading this section about 6 months now and recently joined. I’m not a mechanic but I enjoy reading your threads. There’s a lot of interesting information here. Will you guys help identify my table? The place I purchased it at said it is a gc2. I want to install a triangle and bridge holder on it. I would like to get holders that are as close to original as possible. Later on in the future I also would like a mechanic to inspect and if necessary, repair the table so it plays the best it can.

Gold Crown 1. 2's are actually rare , only made for a couple of years and have the bronze colored feet and are not painted at all.

The upper castings are in fact on the 3. The bronze feet were introduced on the Gold Crown 2, if you read the above chart you would know that. It is a Gold Crown 1.

I would like to work on it myself but I have zero knowledge.

you get the knowledge by working on them and getting help is easier than ever with the invention of the new fangled, internet.... then you save a lot of money and best of all, know what's wrong when your table needs work. at first i didn't know that slate bends and it was very frustrating for me. after i learned that and then got a machinists level everything began to fall into place. it was like the Star Trek episode where Dr McCoy puts on an alien doctors computer helmet so that he could get the knowledge to put Spock's brain back into his body. McCoy said: "of course, it's all so clear now..." lol...

Everything you said is true. The only thing I can say is that I’m more interested in becoming a better pool player than learning to work on tables. I like the Star Trek reference.
