Made the leap after lots of research. Much heavier and very happy with this purchase. Did need a spacer. Found a resonable T nut on ebay with matching threads. Used the nut that qct came with as the spacer. Had to go to 1/2" tooling to make height adjustment work properly and avoid shims. Found another great buy on ebay of pre ground tools for all kinds of cuts (22 in all). All the hard grinding already done.

You can use the smaller bits.... Just adjust the tool holder.... No shims needed..........
