Hope everyone had a merry Christmas. Ours was happier than I thought it might
be as my wife's cancer checkup wasn't as bad as we had feared. Not what we
had hoped but doctor's seem confident that they can treat it successfully.
Now I have been thinking about my New Year Resolutions.
Number 1 finish Dean's doll house. I have been so tied up with caring for my wife
and grandson I have only finished only one room. But boy it is a humdinger.
The Pool Room A hand made miniature turquoise Gold Crown 1
Round turquoise white and chrome table and bar stools
Free standing Cue Rack with miniature cues and giant 8 ball on top
Sky lights
(Dean had a Gold Crown 1 and his wife June said it was the ugliest thing
she had ever seen and there was no way he was going to put that in their
beautiful traditional home).
I dedicated this Doll House Pool Room to June and even named it June's
The pool table light says "JUNE'S" in big letters
The wall decor is a framed No NITS (with a circle with the line through it) sign
AND' DA DA a framed picture of pool balls in motion with
"No bar, no pinball machines, no bowling alley, just pool, nothing else"
This Is JUNE'S Mister.
I made it all, so it took forever. Now I start on the rest of the restoration.
My wife took a picture of JUNE'S ROOM and sent it to them, I'm sure after
she got a look at that see started have their house done the same way.

Number 2, I have decided that this year I will be a gracious loser, but alas
I make the same resolution every year and still have not had the opportunity
to see if I will keep it no matter how many matches I play.

Glad you got good news

Jack, as a person who lost a wife to cancer (back in 1996) I know how stressful living with the daily anxiety can be. I'm glad you can be there for her through this stressful time.

As for the doll house, we've got to see some pics!

June should have the pictures

My wife sent them to June. I am not as good at posting pictures as Dean. I will
have my wife call June and see if she still has the pictures and post them.
If not I think they are still on her phone and If I can't figure out how to post
them I will send them to her again. I know she knows how so she can't say
she doesn't, she is much smarter than me (and Dean).

Jack, you have a wonderful marriage, and I’m thinking you deserve it.

While we’re waiting for an actual picture, here’s one that’s interesting....

Bob was the buyer for Havertys furniture, that guy was a furniture rep that used to come to the pool hall and sweat the matches. You are right about the marriage, 50 years in may

Great news about your wife.
I make a few miniature cues myself, it would be cool to see what you came up with.
