The Lion is going to be tough to beat.

Alex is red hot with his big win last week at The Aramith/Simonis Pro Classic One Pocket & 10 Ball events. He won BOTH events and played amazing. (He beat Orcollo in the finals of both events)

Last time The Lion came to Skinny Bob's he won the TX State 10 Ball Championship

Good to see my old buddy Steve Smith AKA Lizard rep us old guys in the event :)

Steve was the guy Bob Vanover beat in the TX Open finals when Bob did his famous 9 pack run in the finals.

Not really a 9 pack but that's how most people tell the story lol

Steve got the opening break shot and broke dry and from there never got another shot. Bob ran the entire race to 9 for the title.

The 2019 TX Open 9 Ball Championship winner Sky Woodward went on a hell of a run last year.

After losing an early round match he went on tear on the one loss side.

He won 13 sets in a row to take the title!

Sky is back this year to defend the trophy.

Shane may go for same amount in the Calcutta as added money for the event.
My predictions for the Calcutta Top four picks

Open 9 Ball Division

1. SVB
2. Dennis
3. Alex
4. DeLuna

One Pocket Division

1. Alex
2. Dennis
3. Tony
4. SVB

Sky is last years Open champion and very well go in the top 4 in the in Open.

Sky is very popular in TX and now lives there, might even go #1.

You never know how people might bid at these auctions especially if a bidding war breaks out.

Texas is known for having some huge money Calcutta's.

This year with Covid limited capacity restrictions in place at Skinny Bob's it very well might affect the Calcutta #'s

They decided to open up the field to 32 players.

This is a single elimination race to 5 event.

32 players instead of 16 is just one extra round in a single elimination format.

They have 18 brand new 9ft Diamonds to use.

It will finish on time easy.

Check out how nice the room looks now

They have new ownership and the place has been completely redone with 18 brand new 9ft Diamond tables

They have 2 beautiful high end Gabriels billiard tables for carom games, shuffle board, darts & more plus a full service bar.
