Hard tips on Carbon Fiber shafts

I personally enjoy soft tips on Carbon fiber shafts. Seems to suit carbon shafts better imo.

I agree.

I have tried many different carbon fiber shafts.

I have owned five and currently have three.

I think they play better, for me, with soft tips.

I put a pressed triangle on my jacoby black when I had it and loved it
I'll be putting a lepro on my current noire shaft when the time comes

I prefer a tip that i can forget about after it's on

From personal experience, a Black with a Le pro tip will hit like a metal pipe. You definitely won’t forget it each time you hit the cue ball. Ping. Ping. Ping.

The stiffer the hit the more balls i sink
Long straight shots on 9fters
Anything almost when the cueball is on the rail
Makes a super slow bar table seem to have decent speed

Me think player preference

I like the sound they make. I've heard other players with hard tips on REVOs and it gives a certain resonance or chatter that can be used for feedback.

Be careful though, some of these tips add a lot of mass which starts to negate LD, especially on CF shafts as so little material has been removed (compared to a z2), so adding any material could be noticeable. Maybe have the tip half-lifed to start? Personally, LD is great and is a better reference, but I'm not exactly sold on its usage in American Pool so I wouldn't bother to half-life it (but it is a real concern if you're all-in on LD whatever).

I have used a hard milkdud on a few different carbon fiber shafts and it is something special. The spin is unbelievable.
