So here are some pics of another pool table. I would like your guys-es opinions on it. I am wondering how "bad" of a pool table it is? Or is it average for a bar table?

So yeah how bad is it?

Editing because I went back today and saw a tear in the cloth on another table and there were extra balls in the machines. Like one machine had 2 8 balls. The next had 2 14 balls. Also a rail might have been dead. Also also bear stain.

That looks average to good in the bar pool table game. I have personally have seen much worse with bad felt broken rails and miss matched balls!

The table looks usable....accessories are not a deal killer...easily replaced.
But know that is a one-piece slate and the frame cannot be dismantled...
...so your location needs access for that bulk...slate can be carries separately.

If the price is right....take it.

That is one of 4 pool tables at a bar. I can not buy that. I am not even looking to buy a pool table because I probably do not have enough room in my apartment.. I was just wondering what kind of condition it is in.

Aside from the sticks, which no player gives a crap about, everything looks like standard Valley equipment in fair to middlin' condition.

Cues, balls, triangles used cloth and most accessories from a bar I wouldn't even care about. Those in the pictures I would leave with the current owner or figure on tossing them out. The table itself is what I would be concerned about and I would have to see it in person to determine if it is worthwhile to bother with or not. That of course depending on the price as well.

For a home "bar" or coin-op 8ft table I would look at a Valley. Probably not one with any digital display stuff on it. An older one perhaps but in fairly good condition. Change the ball return to accommodate a regulation cue ball instead of an oversize or plugged cue ball usually found on bar tables.

Valley tables are a bit tougher to play on than most coin-op tables. That makes for better practice time spent on it. The rails sit a bit higher and pockets are a bit tougher, not garbage can size pockets like on many bar tables to keep those quarters being used up at a fast pace and making money.

The purpose of the equipment in that bar is to give the customers something to do while they are drinking. The equipment is fine for that purpose.

It is probably sufficient to learn on until you occasionally run out a rack. At that point you may want to try a pool hall or other place that has better equipment.

Does it bother anyone else when the plastic rack is a used upside down?

The lip is there to protect the table, not as a handy handle with which to pick up the rack! :rolleyes:

I have so much to learn about pool if I really stick with it. The pool hall I go to uses flat triangles made of study plastic.

Also in that fresh prince of bel-air episode I watched will did put the triangle down that way. So they did get something right. lol

I believe I will start calling triangle squares.

Looks like an APA finals table for the city championship to me plus equipment. It might be the same as the finals in Vegas but I never went there so can't say.

Did a bear crap on the table or spill something?

There numbers on the balls don't matter as long as they fill the plastic triangle and add up to 105.
