With the rule you suggest if one is preparing to bridge and accidentally touch the cue ball it could cause one to lose that game?

Accidentally touching the cue ball is a BIH foul, not a lose of game.

Altering the path of the 8 ball or cue ball in a losing situation is a lose of game.

Would love to do this to someone, shooting on the eight see your going to scratch just pick cue ball up. Not loss of game now just a foul right ?Bet that would piss someone off. Would be fun.

I wish the OP would come back.

Are you saying "see your (sic) going to scratch just pick cue ball up," while the cueball is in motion or are you saying that you can see that "it's a scratch shot," so you don't bother shooting at all and simply pick up the cueball and hand it to your opponent?

Two different scenarios. I thought you were saying you pick up the cueball while it is heading towards a pocket.
