Wish I'd known him better!

I won't even go so far as to claim Steve was an acquaintance. I barely knew him at all, maybe talked to him a couple of times. But I remember one time as if it were yesterday when he helped me buy a rare custom cue I couldn't really afford but wanted badly, with no other incentive than to be nice to - not sure how else to put it - a stranger? He wouldn't even allow me to buy him a drink afterwards. I'll never forget the bantering he used negotiating a better price for me. Could the man be funny! The Mighty Miz… He had such a playful manner, cheerful face and laughter. Still have the cue, by the way, cherish it just like the memory of Steve. Rest in peace, buddy!

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

My close friend and mentor speaks highly of Mizerak as a person. Great person, smooth stroke, played all games well.
