There was a post a while back Adam Cues.
Anyway I just picked up this Adam -
Early to mid 70s AH-44
All original except the tip and bumper.
I believe it’s old school Cortland Wrap.

I have always marveled at how cues 40/50
years old can remain in such good shape.

Cool cue. Condition is nice as you say. Bit of a crack in the shaft. Should be OK unless you break with it like MS. LOL! If it were mine I might see if a cue maker could stabilize that crack, but maybe just leave it alone...I would probably at least ask a cue maker about it..

I don't think that is Cortland.

Looks like the bumper has been replaced as well. It may have been bumperless. The old Adam bumpers are hen's teeth anyway, hard to find. I tend to be fussy and want the correct bumper on my old cues.

Nice find.

What's really amazing is when we find such cues still in new condition. There are several new late Palmers on Ebay right now, same seller has new Huebler cases.

Thanks for showing off! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I did replace the bumper as a matter of fact I had to
customize it. Almost impossible to find the original
type bumper. I don't notice a crack ?

Crack could be a mirage. I see it on the joint end of the shaft, above the ring.

Could just be the picture, or the grain of the wood.

Looks like a crack to me. You can see it in the first picture. Goes through both the thick black ring and goldish ring...
