One of the many other things you need to equip a CNC machine is a spindle that will preferably run close to 30,000 RPM.
There are some choices on Ebay that are driven to 24,000 rpm using an inverter.
Some are water cooled and some are air cooled.
They are heavy motors and a bit to much (I think) for the smaller CNC machines.
Some of them have a diameter of 65mm.
That diameter is just perfect for the Unique TaperShaper and would make a great upgrade from a router motor.
You would expect smoother cleaner cuts on the shafts and butts because of less vibration.
Unless you run your machine daily I would recommend the air cooled one.
Just make sure the diameter of the motor is 65mm.
