One thing is for sure -- you will see a lot of players in this tournament you have never seen before. We will see if there is a monster in hiding. Wu Jia-qing (2005) might count as such a player.

Anyone with time on their hands want to calculate the average Fargo for the tournament? :)

I think the average is not as interesting as the average of the top 20 or 50 entered. Below are the players who are not entered who are in the top 75 of Fargo ratings. In particular, it would be nice (or at least interesting ) to see Efren, Earl, and Siming play in the event, but I think there will be some pretty good matches without them. 32 of the top 35 rated players will be there.

Not yet entered, with Fargo place and rating (slightly old):

12 Lee Van Corteza PHI803
25 Mark Gray GBR793
28 Lo Li Wen TPE792
36 Jundel Mazon PHI788
37 Bing Jie Chu CHN788
39 Roland Garcia PHI787
40 Sandor Tot SRB787
42 John Morra CAN786
46 Efren Reyes PHI784
48 Nick VanDenBerg NED783
55 Siming Chen CHN781
58 Aloysius Yapp SGP779
59 Jerico Banares PHI779
61 Rodrigo (Edgie) Geronimo PHI779
66 Francisco Diaz-Pizarro ESP777
68 Ronnie Alcano PHI777
69 Yoshihiro Kitatani JPN776
71 Antonio Lining PHI775
73 Nick Ekonomopoulos GRE775
75 Sha Sha Liu CHN774

All of those players are entered now. I included Earl in my "not entered" list above by mistake.

To me, he plays more fast and loose...to me more like Alex.

True. Dennis does stand up off his shots an awful lot. But I still think there's some physical similarity in the facial features.

Okay, back to the OP's topic..........

If FR700+ is considered pro, there are at least 128 out of 256 that are pros.
Anyone know the prize money breakdown? If I am not mistaken they said 300K guaranteed , 100K added?

Oceania and Middle East are surging in past few years.
But South America and rest of Africa (excl. South Africa) still missing in action. They don’t know what they are missing :D

I think you overlooked Morocco and the fact that the territory of Spain is partly in Africa much to the irritation of Morocco.
