In order to scavenge a shaft for my WH Pro, I recently purchased a Brunswick cue labeled "Varsity" on the butt and stamped "H" on the forearm. This cue is a true "monster" -- the butt measures 1 3/8" which dwarfs the butt on my WH Pro, which I thought was huge until I saw the Varsity.

I do not ever remember a cue with a butt this size. Does anyone have any information on this model of cues? Does anyone have any information on other "large butt" production cues?

That size of butt was pretty standard for the Rambo/Hoppe era.
...players held the cue much shorter then...about 6 to 8 inches from the balance point.
