Sadly i couldn't make it to SBE again this year, had to make last minute cancellation to my flight...the only consolation i could have was visiting GBE which is the Guangzhou Billiards Expo held in China annually.
I'd say it's the largest such event held here in China however it's very different in nature as compared to the SBE.
GBE is catered mainly for large factory suppliers and larger brands who are looking to increase their presence in the domestic market. Visitors comprised mostly of regional distributors, resellers, pool room owners and some overseas buyers so in essence this is a B2B targeted exhibition.
Personally i'd love to see more Custom Cues here in this show cos that's sorely missing in any shows held in China thus far yet it's such a huge market right now. Predator giving up exhibiting in SBE and having a larger presence here is a good clear sign.
All in all the exhibition was very well put together, professionally organised like any decent exhibition should be. Needless to say the expo ground has more than enough capacity for this show to grow larger.
