I'm rolling the 9 onto the 7....I'll fight it out from here.
If the 7 isn't froze, the only other shot that doesn't involve getting luck is to hit the 7 off
two rails and play the hook behind the 9.
Masse around the left side of the 9, hitting rail first clipping the 7, and play the cueball 3 more rails behind the 8, hoping the 7 stays behind 9..... very low percentage, but I like going around the 9.
This is a 9 foot table so I don't think you can hit that shot with enough speed to get it to both masse and have enough energy to spin around 3 rails. Interesting choice though and I could be wrong.

Kicking as full as possible off the right rail seems like the best chance at not leaving your opponent a shot.
So far no one has played my shot. I'm not saying it's the best option but it worked and I won. What else ya got?
Please, do tell... Anything other than whats been posted, is likely a really risky/borderline stupid shot; so please prove me wrong.
Nevermind, you already answered. So far no one has played my shot. I'm not saying it's the best option but it worked and I won. What else ya got?
Okay, Okay...
I ended up softly kicking off the short rail(to the right) and I left the cue ball locked up right on top of the 7 ball, almost froze. My opponent tried to thin the 7 and get behind the 9 but he missed shape and I got out.
I think kicking the 7 full is a better shot if executed well but it has to be hit almost perfect for it to work out. I felt I had a better chance of executing the slow kick because even if I hit the side of the 7 I still wouldn't leave much of a shot. I only had to worry making contact.
What did you do.
