cod payment method ups

I found a cue on face book i want to buy.
Seller has cue listed in billards for sale group.
Seller says he uses cod payment method with ups.
Does any one have any experience with this?

I used that method 30 years ago.... Seller ships it to you, and when the UPS driver brings it to your door, you pay him. It use to be cash back then. If you know the driver well, he'll let you open the package in front of him assuring the seller sent the correct item. Not a bad way to go.
