Is this a reputable site? They have some nice cues in the mid-to-upper four figure range. I saw one I may be interested in. One says unplayed.

If not, can you recommend another site?

(I need to reach out to Richard to see if he is still in business. I have a couple of his cues and they play well.)

Why would everyone know it? He is a new member here. When i first joined here u asked if seyberts was ok to deal with. Its a good idea to ask around if your gonna spend $$$$$ on a cue.

Quite sincere, and apologies for my ignorance.

I quit pool (which I have LOVED since I was 15) in the early 90s. My employer basically stated that I needed to choose whether I wanted to make sure money or gamble on pool. I chose the former.

Fast forward to today and a (quite ridiculous) billing rate of $720/hr, well, obviously, I’m still conflicted as to whether I made the correct choice.

Don’t know if I’ll pull the trigger on the cue, but thought this forum a great resource to,pull from before spending a large sum of money with an unknown (to me) website.

Black is still working, semi-retired, really only working on big cues.

That very much sounds like Richard. Last saw him in the mid-late 90s. Had a cue of his that needed a bit of work to bring back to primo condition. Did not seem interested; had bigger fish to fry. Still, need to at least reach out. All he can say is “No”.

If you're spending that kind of $$$$, there are much better choices out there.

Edit: I did not mean better choices the Cornerstone, I meant better choices than Richard.
Just read this again, and could see how that it might sound like that.

You might hear some crap about Bill Grassley from some Azers.
I've done business with Bill for awhile and have done three (3)
cue transactiosn with him. Every single one was problem free,
the cues were as described, & arrived safely. Since the cues were
expensive, I was careful and selective about whom I bought from.

I found Bill to be gracious, accomodating, reasonable and very
knowledgeable about pool cues. He has the most extensive
inventory of cues of any dealer I've seen. Cornerstone's inventory
actually does turn over often which doesn't seem to occur with some
other dealers based on browsing various websites over the recent years.

So you might hear a criticism from some Azer who supposedly had a
bad experience dealing with Bill at Cornerstone or maybe they read it.
I cannot state with certainty that someone, somewhere in the past, long
ago or recent, has never had a bad experience with Bill. I suppose that
sooner or later, anyone can disappoint a customer. Over time, the problem
gets talked about and eventually expodes into a scandalous incident that's
all too exaggerated and distorted when told to others.

Anyway, I can state unequivocally that all my business dealings with Bill
Grassley have been absolutely terrific. Furthermore, I'd do business with him
in a heartbeat & without any reservations whatsoever. In fact, if Bill reads this,
he still owes me a Hercek cue he told me he'd locate for me. Screw the ivory
ban. I'd just visit Bill, buy the cue and bring it back to CA making this all legal.

My point is I do not take unnecessary risks when it comes to buying a pool cue
because of the financial risks if it turned out to be a bad experience. Bill is one
of the few dealers I would buy from without any concerns or worry whatsoever.

I have purchased and sold several cues to Bill at Cornerstone, NEVER had a problem, seems to be a nice guy and has many, many cues to chose from. I have been to his place several times and he was never in a hurry for me to leave. Once I must have tried 25 high end cues, he kept letting me try any cue I wanted. I just don't think you can go wrong dealing with Bill.

Advise companies on matters related to compensation, both domestically and globally. Some clients have tens of thousands of employees.

And is it true that $720 an hour is far cheaper than going in front of a jury?!

Lol...sadly.
