I was just told by the Horseshoe front desk that code S01HDCC is full but they have weekly rooms available for $199.00 a night and weekend rooms available for $299.00 a night.

They can stick that up their ass......

The reservation girl told me there were rooms @ the DCC rate moments ago. She took all my info including credit card # THEN tells me they are overbooked for the event! :banghead:

If anyone is going to cancel please PM Hal or me.

Thanks
Courtney

No more rooms from what I hear.

It is good and bad sign I guess. Good that it is filled, bad in that people who want to come can't stay at the hotel.

There is a Holiday Inn down the road:

Holiday Inn Express New Albany (Approx. 7 miles from tournament location)
411 W Spring St.
New Albany, IN 47150
1-800-451-2595
(Use code# dia)

I looked around a few months ago and there was a hotel not far away (30 miles?) that had weekly rates down around $250 for seven days. I'm guessing it's not fancy, and the gas will cost you $10 a day, but I'd rather have the difference to spend on other things.

Edit: Oops. That would have been the First Capitol Hotel in Corydon, but the phones are no longer working. Not a good sign.

From the DCC website: Harrah?s have only 300 rooms available so get your name in now. There is a Holiday Inn and a Hampton Inn near by. At Harrah?s Horseshoe it will be a 24 hour operation. The
gamblers can go all night, just like before. Spectator and player turnout is a must this year as Greg is starting over so to speak.

Horseshoe Casino-Southern Indiana: http://www.horseshoe-indiana.com/casinos/caesars-indiana/hotel-casino/property-home.shtml

Right off of I-64 in Corydon, IN, there are four hotels: Holday Inn Express, Baymont Inn, First Capitol, and Hampton Inn. Here is the link with the hotel information for Corydon hotels: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g37034-Corydon_Indiana-Hotels.html

Corydon is a 31-mile drive to the Horseshoe Casino in Elizabethtown, IN.

Louisville, Kentucky is a 45-minute drive to the Horseshoe Casino, and there may be some good deals in Louisville for lodging. Heck, the Executive West Inn may have some vacancies!

hotels

There are several hotels in New Albany, Clarksville, and Jeffersonville. All are not more than a 20 minute drive. You have 10 minutes from anywhere other than the casino. Southern Indiana is like one large community. Louisville is right across the river. It doesn't take long to drive anywhere in the metro area.

The DCC rooms were all booked without a substantial deposit. Perhaps some of them may open up?

I wonder if a waiting list for cancellations might be an idea?

Or just call them every hour up until the day you go? :frown:

I fully agree with that. $199 and $299 a night. haha..

How about the ones who got in on the S01HDCC rate? Anyone care to tell how much per night it is on that code? I would like to get an idea.

I was thinking about attending this year as I missed last year, I think. They start to run together for me in my old age of 25. lol.

But there's no way I'm going to spend $200 to $300 per night for 8 days without a backer for action. and I'm not interested in the 20 minute drive back and forth everyday.

Anyone that I know or has heard of me looking for a room mate that already has a room in the casino?

PM me and I'll give you my number or call me if you already have it.

Thanks,
Josh Hillard

The Boat is just 10 minutes if not less from the little town that has the hotels which is right off interstate crossing the bridge to indiana. If you stay at one of those hotels it's only quick drive. From louisville downtown it's like 15 minutes.Unfortunately i will have to drive 30 minutes to get there.

300 rooms set aside for DCC using the S01HDCC' rates were $105 Sun-Thurs and $130 Fri-Sat.
