It is never a dream shattered. It is a dream transformed.
So it isn’t worth a small fortune monetarily speaking, OK.
Instead it is a sentimental keepsake, a pool cue memento.
This was his dad’s cue before he went to ‘Nam & came home.
Admittedly the monetary worth is small & disappoints in that respect.
But the sentiment and connection with this being his dad’s cue is huge.
Money can always be gathered again over time but treasured keepsakes of
important loved ones, especially your dad, well those are truly irreplaceable.
I’d give up any cue in my collection, even a few, if I could own a nice looking
cue that was my dad’s. Alas, pocket billiards never caught his interest. It was
later in life after dad passed that my set-dad happened & elevated my pool interests.
