SAM - Stick Aiming Method

I searched the Forums for this and couldn't find anything. And I put this on the Aiming Forum and got no response so I am trying here. Assume there is more visibility here.

Anyway, can somebody explain to me what SAM is, or how it works? Seems like I have heard it in the past but if so it has eluded my memory function.

S.A.M is a by-product of Hal Houle's teaching.

Takes his three angles and makes aiming easier to teach.

S.A.M is not exclusive but normally taught by SPF Instructors.

S.A.M is aiming by the numbers. I personally used it for several years before Hal taught me a version of CTE.

S.A.M is a visual aiming method.

Does your version of S.A.M. stand for Stick Aiming Method, or are we talking about two different methods?

I had a lesson years back and it was presented to me as S.A.M. But it stood for supplemental aiming method, not stick aiming method. I may be misremembering it was probably about 15 years ago now. IDK if they are one and the same or not.

I do not think it is stick aiming

One "SAM" system I've heard of uses fractional alignments:
full overlap = SAM-1
3/4 overlap = SAM-2
1/2 overlap = SAM-3
1/4 overlap = SAM-4
1/8 overlap = SAM-5

I don't know if that's Randy's version or somebody else's - and I don't know what SAM stands for.
