Older Valley spider question

I have an older Valley with a 3 piece spider. Somehow, one of the sections broke. I'm curious what the best adhesive would be to fix this? It seems like contact cement or Super 77/90 could be the ticket, but I'm not entirely sure what the spider is made of.

Ultimately, I'm going to reinforce the area with a small thin piece of aluminum and adding some mass loaded vinyl to help with the noise.

Thanks in advance!

I would use 3M panel bonding adhesive. It is used to bond auto body panels together instead of welding and also for composites. Unfortunately I dont know if it is available in anything other than a dual caulking gun cartridge which requires a special tool. It wouldnt hurt to see if it is available in a different container. My second choice would be automotive RTV like Right Stuff, it will stick anything together and hold forever.
