The Serfs Have Rebelled - Europe Next?

link: https://wealth.goldmoney.com/researc...ed-europe-next

Hayek’s The Road to Serfdom described how personal freedoms are progressively eroded by the state in the name of the common good. In the main, the serfs are patient and tolerant of their masters, but in a democracy, the establishment behind the state risks being challenged. And that has happened twice this year, first with Brexit and now with Trump in America... but remember the serfs never win, as Hayek recognised.

Trump Signs Executive Orders Rolling Back Dodd-Frank, Fiduciary Rule

As previewed earlier today, moments ago President signed two executive aimed at starting the process of rolling back the regulatory system put in place after the financial crisis. Among the targets are rules that protect against predatory lenders, force brokers to lower fees for retirees and ban proprietary
trading.

Too Poor To Fine? Town Forced To Pay $680K For "Running Debtor's Prison"

by Tyler Durden Mar 20, 2017 2:41 PM

The state has turned its people into serfs once again, and, as SHTFplan.com's Mac Slavo points out, through petty fines and regulations, everyone has once again come under the thumb. For the corporeally liberated, it is primarily a form of debt servitude, but for the poorest, who have nothing left to lose, it can mean jail time, sometimes for literally nothing more than getting caught up in a system of bureaucracy and unable to fork over more and more money for the process.

Town Busted Running “Debtor’s Prison” Must Pay $680K, Sheriff Told to Resign

Authored by Jack Burns via The Free Thought Project,

The Southern Poverty Law Center has reached a $680,000 settlement in its lawsuit against the Alabama city of Alexander and its police chief Willie Robinson. The settlement was for depriving 190 of its residents their rights to due process (6th Amendment) and the unlawful seizure of their property (4th Amendment). Sheriff Robinson has even been asked to resign by lawyers representing their client.

Each one of the 190 individuals will receive $500 cash from the city for jailing them for being too poor to pay the fines imposed on them by the town. As reported by AL.com,

“Hundreds of impoverished residents have faced unconstitutional and unjust treatment in Alexander City simply because they were too poor to pay fines and fees,” said Sam Brooke, in a press release. Brooke is the SPLC’s deputy legal director.

He added, “The shuttering of this modern-day debtors’ prison, along with the monetary award, brings justice to many of the people who were unfairly targeted for being poor.”

The way the injustice flourished was as follows. A resident would receive a speeding ticket, for example. If they were unable to pay, they were arrested, taken to jail, and forced to remain there. While in jail, they would earn $20 a day for just being in jail, and $40 a day for doing laundry, cleaning, or washing police cruisers, until the total sum of the fine was paid in full. Each person was not allowed to go before a judge, nor to have a lawyer present to help in aid in their defense.

“Around 30 percent of Alexander inhabitants live below the poverty line. Plaintiff Amanda Underwood is one such person, who was jailed twice for not being able to pay her fines. Underwood previously earned $8 an hour and has two young children, according to the SPLC release. After not being able to pay a fine of $205 for a traffic violation, Underwood had to borrow money to secure her release. On a separate occasion, Underwood was fined $250 for driving without a license. She spent five days in jail working off her debt.”

What may have seemed like a quick way for the town to punish offenders — and settle long-standing fines, fees, and court costs — turned out to be a complete violation of Alexander’s residents’ civil rights. Underwood reveled in the victory saying, “I am glad the city is going to pay everyone who they jailed, to try to undo some of the harm they caused…I am so proud that this lawsuit has made a difference. I hope it will help many others, especially those like me who have been unfairly punished for being poor.”

Brooke said Alexander’s settlement out of court is just the latest in a string of successful lawsuits in Alabama which have made a positive impact on civil rights. “Courts are being sued and forced to change their procedures, and judges have been censured and suspended,” Brooke said. “And now a municipality has been forced to pay those it illegally jailed. We hope and believe all courts are now getting the message: It is unacceptable to punish the poor just because of their poverty.”

There’s very little difference between jailing someone to work off a fine, and selling one’s property to pay for such fines. One is a debtor’s prison and the other results in a debtor’s auction.
In both cases, the police benefit from free labor and free revenue generation. Civil Asset Forfeiture (CAF) has been used for years to punish citizens accused of crimes such as drunk driving, driving with too much cash on hand, or being in possession of marijuana. Hopefully, with wins such as what the SPLC has been able to achieve in Alabama, more progress can likewise be made in CAF cases across the country as well.

Macquarie: Central Bank Interest Rate Repression Creates "Slaves"

by Tyler Durden Jul 19, 2017 7:25 PM

Authored by Mark Melin via ValueWalk.com,

While central bank interest rate policy has been a relatively muted factor in stock market performance recently – successive rate hikes and hawkish Fed inclinations have mostly been warmly greeted by stock market advances – this pattern is about to change, predicts a July 18 Macquarie research report.

Central bank quantitative interest rate repression, known euphemistically as “stimulus,” has created a mirage of tranquility that is visible, in part, through historically low stock market volatility amid a mostly volatile geopolitical and national situation.

The situation cannot be reversed and will result in a situation where “slaves remain slaves.”

Quantitative interest rate repression: QE stimulus is a two-edged sword that has yet to show its real downside

The latest central bank machinations must be understood in context in order to map probability paths going forward.

The 2008 financial crisis has forced the US Federal Reserve into a corner of sorts, as unprecedented measures were required to engineer a recovery. The Fed resorted to “aggressive” quantitative easing and zero if not negative interest rates, the report stated, pointing to a negative in the title: “Rights, Wrongs & Returns; CBs – can slaves become masters?”

What is documented to have occurred following this bending of economics textbooks to a never before witnessed state, resulted in impacts both positive and negative.

The odd gymnastics were part of a financial engineering experience that was documented to have been followed by a rise in asset prices, particularly stocks, which supported consumption and inflation, measured in part by high-end real estate and rare art. During this period general wages remained stagnant and commodities consumed by all demographics haven't shown significant signs of life.

While central bank stimulus achieved a goal with a certain target audience, Macquarie notes they “had massive costs.” These costs can be seen in popular society.

Central bank policies “aggravated inequalities,” supported “zombies” which in a free market society would have been put out of business. The impact on core market supply and demand dynamics has yet to be fully felt, as the central bank activity “diverted funds towards speculative uses and depressed already low productivity.”

While these have been tangible relative to the past, it is the future that is perhaps most important.

Quantitative interest rate repression: Economy entering "treacherous" period

The previous decade benchmarked by quantitative stimulus had bolstered an odd dependency on debt that has resulted in “a palpable feeling” that change is on the way. Macquarie thinks central banks, with little dry powder left at a time when the economy is “entering one of the more treacherous periods since 2013,” is attempting to regain some control “and be free from the slavery of a ‘financial cloud’ of their own making.”

While quantitative easing has resulted in economic positives, the market dependency it has created and the expansion of the Fed balance sheet to historic levels puts the central bank on a tightrope while juggling 200-pound weights in each arm that seem to get heavier all the time.

The depths to which quantitative stimulus have damaged free markets, including a price discovery function that Macquarie says central banks are looking to “resurrect,” is currently unknown.

Typically, free markets serve a moderating function in an economy. When too much debt or unchained fiscal excess has been promulgated by a government, bond yields rise, acting as a "governor" to slow debt expansion.

In a centrally managed economy where quantitative interest rate repression takes place, such limits on fiscal excess are not held in check by the bond market, as rates remain low regardless of debt levels or fiscal responsibility. This has led to an odd feedback loop.

Quantitative interest rate repression: Central bank policies have turned them into "slaves" of their own making

Macquarie notes that central banks, as a result of quantitative interest rate repression, are currently engaging in a containment phase, one that is just shy of deleveraging.

This situation, along with other global forces colliding, may be too little too late, as “normalization is no longer possible.”

“Price discovery is incompatible with the need for ongoing financialization of economies dependent on assets for growth,”
the report said.

Without specifically stating it, the authors were saying the free market economic system upon which the most significant wealth in the history of the world has been built is changing core performance drivers.

There are no options. “Hence slaves must remain slaves.”

Rulers, ‘Foolers,’ and Shooters: They’re Closing the Cage in Plain Sight

Jeremiah Johnson May 7th, 2018

SHTFplan.com

A picture that has been around awhile depicts Homo sapiens society at its finest…as it truly is. There are four “tiers,” so to speak, with the politicians, royalty, and rulers occupying the uppermost level, followed by the clergymen and religious swamis on tier two, and then the gendarmes/police/soldiers on tier three. The bottom tier is occupied by the people, supporting the other three tiers upon their back. The caption is “We rule you [Leaders], we fool you [Religious Heads], we shoot you [the “Enforcer” class].

These “tiers” are to be found in every nation, among every people and tongue. It is not a new concept: these three levels of nabobs have existed ever since man formed social communities that encompassed more than the nuclear family.

The difference between the past and now: for the first time, these tiers will soon be interconnected regardless of location and mutually supportive of one another to obtain global totalitarian rule.

They already have so much in place, as outlined in previous articles: cell phones for most of the populations that transmit user location along with biometrics (in the latest models), interconnected CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) cameras that coordinate and fix your position with the phones, and a record of all that you buy or sell at a POS (Point of Sale) in the happy big-box stores. They have laws to make you pay taxes on income, property, and they will come to seize your property and/or you if you don’t pay it…with force.

The laws are increasing in number, tightening the corral around you in your daily life…controlling where you can live, what type of home you can build, how you can communicate on the Internet, how you conduct business. Every business has a corresponding government inspector or regulator. The death of cash is coming soon, as governments replace it with EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) completely: they will then be able to keep track of every dime you earn or spend, keep track of what they can tax you (overt theft) and what they can pilfer (covert theft, in the case of an electronic “glitch,” a “matter of national security,” or some other nonsensical operation).

Many people do not realize the depth…the lengths these people are going to in order to achieve global totalitarian rule over all mankind
. Recently Bill Gates announced a decision to invest with corporations to place 500 satellites in orbit to be able to monitor every inch of the globe in real-time surveillance. Last week he announced his intentions to develop a “super vaccine” in order to “safeguard” the health of the planet from an outbreak that could kill tens of millions of people.

There is one “biggie” that must be “taken care of” before all this control can be finalized: They must first confiscate all firearms.

The most recent news headlines show their intent to do just that. Let’s take it by “category” of the three tiers:

Rulers: The United States’ very own Representative Eric Swalwell, (D-CA) is the one representing the first big push toward totalitarian takeover via gun seizures. On Thursday, 5/3/18, Swalwell (as reported by NBC News on an interview with Swalwell by USA Today) proposed a complete ban of what he describes as “military-style semiautomatic assault weapons,” along with a government “buy-back” of these rifles…and pursuit of those who refuse it. Swalwell describes this last part as “criminally prosecute any who choose to defy [the buyback] by keeping their weapons.” Swalwell cited the Australian mandatory gun buyback laws and as an example used the “unprompted” walkout and demonstrations of Parkland High School students after that school’s shooting. Here’s what Swalwell had to say:

“There’s something new and different about the surviving Parkland high schoolers’ demands. They dismiss the moral equivalence we’ve made for far too long regarding the Second Amendment. I’ve been guilty of it myself, telling constituents and reporters that ‘we can protect the Second Amendment and protect lives.’ The right to live is supreme over any other. Australia got it right.”

Foolers: On Sunday, 5/6/18, the Pope came out and said that all firearms must be confiscated and taken away, and that the only firearms must be in the hands of the UN (United Nations). This is not a new thought, as it was John F. Kennedy who proposed a ban of all nuclear weapons and firearms, with the UN “peacekeepers” being the only ones who retained any weapons. That “clarion call” has been echoed by the UN Small Arms Treaty (the one that Bolton…current Secretary of State…refused to sign when he was UN ambassador under Bush Jr.). Sure, many may try to disregard what the Pope is saying…but you can’t completely discount anyone who has a billion people under his dominion, spiritually and economically.

Shooters: There are two excellent articles for your perusal written by John W. Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute. One of them is entitled Armed and Dangerous: If Police Don’t Have to Protect the Public, What Good Are They? on 2/28/18. The other more recent article of 5/2/18 is entitled Dial T for Tyranny: While America Feuds, the Police State Shifts Into High Gear.

In “tier 1” of the “Rulers,” we have a sitting Representative of Congress who openly advocates bypassing the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution of the United States by banning a specific type of rifle; he also proposes the governmental “buying” of those semiautomatic rifles. It would do well here to remember the words of Alexis DeTocqueville in “Democracy in America,” [para.] “The end of the Republic [America] will come when the government can buy the people with their own money.” Then(so-called) Representative Swalwell suggested the government follow (in the event weapons owners do not submit) a violation of due process, as well as the supreme law of the land to illegally confiscate any weapons not submitted under a proposed government buyback…a clear violation of the 2nd Amendment.

It runs deeper, as we can see how the “Parkland Students” cited as an example by Swalwell are the new mantra, the new paradigm to enforce social consciousness and supplant Constitutional law with the law of the mob…the “tyranny of the majority” (a phrase of DeTocqueville) inflicting its wishes. Then there’s the “Australia got it right” grammatical eyesore of Swalwell’s populist jargon, a phony attempt to appear “grass roots” and an average guy…jargon that also pushes the “groupthink” (Australia’s doing it, why shouldn’t we?) so necessary to obtain global governance.

In “tier 2” we have a Marxist who is the leader of one of the world’s largest religions openly calling for a confiscation of the guns, with only the UN holding them.
As mentioned, this guy has more than a billion people under his control, and he’s clearly in the “pocket” of those moving toward global governance. Standard Alinsky principle in “Rules for Radicals” is “organizing the organized.” His loyal followers will follow his lead. Don’t worry: Protestants, Jews, Mormons, and all the others are also “subjected” to the same playbook, perhaps not under one “figurehead” but with their own “Master of Puppets” enforcing their submittal to his/her authority and then compliance with outside directives of the governments.

In “tier 3,” when you read these articles, you will come to see how there is no more “Officer Friendly.” The police are duty-bound to protect the taxpaying corporate entities, businesses, and politico-oligarchy, and nothing more. They are our jailers, not our protectors. They ensure the continuity of the establishment: the existing social, political, religious, and economic order of things, nothing more. Those who mistakenly believe in the law (as police officers) will eventually be marginalized and drummed out of the force. Recently it was reported in Austin, TX that trainees/police cadets were informed by their instructors that the public are nothing more than cockroaches. In truth, the public pays for their funding…and they are under governmental control and direction: to obtain ad valorem for the municipal and state coffers while keeping the beeves moving, “tagging” the strays with tickets for the quotas and ensuring the docility of the herd.

The rulers, “foolers,” and shooters are tightening their grasp by the day, aided by the ever-increasing technology that allows for more surveillance and control, along with the stultified and complacent mentality of the public. There is a conspiracy, but it is not a theory: it is a fact. It is no longer a hidden agenda, but openly being pursued in plain sight. The goal is global governance and the complete abrogation of all rights. We’re seeing it today, and it becomes worse with the passage of time.

SHTF WARNING: The UN Quietly Pushes INTERNATIONAL Gun Control

Mac Slavo May 14th, 2018
SHTFplan.com

The United Nations’ International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) is finishing up their Global Week of Action Against Gun Violence. According to IANSA, the goal of the week-long meeting is “for us to advocate collectively for an end to illicit trade and misuse of small arms and light weapons.”

We all know what that really means: the United Nations presumes they have authority over every human being on earth, and as such, seeks to ban guns from the slaves they want to control. Of course, they aren’t going to come right out and say it just it. It took liberals decades before they simply admitted what we already knew: they are coming for our guns.

According to Townhall, the week-long initiative took place one month before the Third Review Conference (RevCon3) on the UN Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons.

In 2005 the UN also adopted the International Tracing Instrument (ITI), which is a “politically binding instrument” requirung States to ensure that weapons are properly marked and that records are kept. Moreover, it provides a framework for cooperation in weapons tracing – fulfilling one of the commitments governments made in the Programme of Action. Improving weapons tracing is now part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Of course, anyone who has read into the 2030 Agenda understands it’s nothing more than a blueprint for the global enslavement of humanity under the boot of elitist corporate masters. Mike Adams with Natural News perfectly translates the 2030 Agenda. Goal 11 perfectly outlines the UN’s need to eliminate guns from the public and put them in the hands of those who will be ruling the masses.

*For those who aren’t entirely sure what’s in the UN’s 2030 agenda, please click here for Adams’ simple and complete break down of the goals.

Goal 11) Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

Translation: Ban all gun ownership by private citizens, concentrating guns into the hands of obedient government enforcers who rule over an unarmed, enslaved class of impoverished workers. Criminalize living in most rural areas by instituting Hunger Games-style “protected areas” which the government will claim are owned by “the People” even though no people are allowed to live there. Force all humans into densely packed, tightly controlled cities where they are under 24/7 surveillance and subject to easy manipulation by government. -Natural News

The IANSA group listed their goals on their website, saying they want to urge governments to:

• Exert greater control over ammunition–the component that makes guns lethal.

• Make concrete commitments to increasing women’s participation in small arms control.

• Provide greater support for survivors of gun violence.

• Crack down on corruption that facilitates the illicit trade in small arms and ammunition.

• Enact or strengthen legislation to disarm domestic violence abusers.

They will also attempt to continue to use the mainstream media’s anti-gun propaganda campaign to program the minds of the public into willingly disarming in order to accept their slavery. The propaganda campaign, similar to that of all totalitarian regimes is stated as:

Engaging media outlets to ensure gun control and disarmament remain a priority in your country – linking it with the upcoming RevCon3. –IANSA website

This is nothing to thumb one’s nose at, yet it is important to remember that those in power are few and the rest are many. The more eyes that can be opened to the horrific future we all will suffer at the hands of the global elitists can be changed if we stick together and declare our freedom as ours and no one can take away our basic fundamental human rights.

Mike Adams said it best when he wrote: “The UN is planning nothing less than a global government tyranny that enslaves all of humanity while calling the scheme ‘sustainable development’ and ‘equality.'”

One Angry, Disillusioned Philly Resident Reflects On "30 Blocks Of Slavery"

Article: https://www.theburningplatform.com/2...ks-of-slavery/

"There is no way for poor black people in West Philly to escape their chains of debt enslavement...The Great Society programs were supposed to lift minorities up, but they have created generations of bitter, dismayed, ignorant, dependent, poor, Democratic voters. And it all revolves around the engineered destruction of the family unit and purposeful failure to educate the children."

To Understand America’s Neofeudal Economy, Start with Extortion

August 28th, 2018

Via: LINK: Of Two Minds:

Let’s spin the time machine back to the late Middle Ages, at the height of feudalism, and imagine we’re trying to get a boatload of goods to the nearest city to sell. As we drift down the river, we’re constantly being stopped and charged a fee for transiting one small fiefdom after another. When we finally reach the city, there’s an entry fee for bringing our goods to market.

Note that none of these fees were payments for improvements to transport or for services rendered; they were simply extortion. This was the economic structure of feudalism: petty fiefdoms levied extortionate fees that funded the lifestyles of nobility.

This is why I have long called America’s economy neofeudal: we pay ever higher fees for services that are degrading, not improving. This is the essence of extortion: we don’t get any improvement in goods and services for the extra money we’re forced to pay.
