i had rooms there from sun to sat (7 days) that i booked few months ago.rest of days were sold out so they said. i called 2 days ago and they opened up more rooms. now im there for the whole thing so u may want to call back and see if u can get the room now

The Holiday Inn Express in New Albany has no vacancy either. I got a room at the Gualt house in Louisville.

Hello once again from Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino Hotel! Rooms are still available for the event being held Jan 22-30. Below is the info from my post in September 2009 explaining what is available and how to book. Please book online if possible, as this works perfectly. If you must call to make your reservation, please let the agents know that you are calling for this tournament, present one of the booking codes below, that the property has informed you that rooms are still available, and if the agent cannot book ask them to look at the booking instructions in the Group Section of the Harrah's Factbook for Horseshoe Southern Indiana. If you cannot get resolution from the reservations agent, please ask for a supervisor to get you booked. If you are denied, please post the name of the supervisor you spoke with and I will get this resolved. We have rooms, but as of 1/19 the 9-day package will no longer be available and rooms may be very limited so book early.

There are two types of room reservations you can make this year. We are offering a discounted 9-day package for the entire period which spans all of the Derby City Classic events, arrive January 22 and depart January 31, 2010. You will also have the option to book individual dates for any time during the tournament at the regular rate if you wish.

Here are some very important notes on room reservation policies:

• Every room reservation requires a charge of the first night's deposit up front.

• This deposit is taken at the time of booking and is nonrefundable. No exceptions will be made.

• A maximum of four people are allowed to stay in each room. Rollaway beds are not available.

• If the discounted 9-day package is booked and any one of the nine nights is canceled, all room discounts will be revoked. Prices for all nights booked will revert to the full individual date prices.

9-day package (limited availability, offered through 1/18/2010)

9-day pkg @ $99.99/night, arriving Friday, January 22, 2010 and departing Sunday, January 31, 2010. Additional $10 per room night per extra room occupant when more than 2 occupants.

A credit card is required at time of booking. The nonrefundable first night's deposit is charged for each reservation at the time of booking. Reservations for the 9-Day Package rate cannot be booked for fewer than the 9-day consecutive stay for the dates mentioned above. Cancellation of any day(s) within the 9-day package will result in all days reverting to the individual rates of $120 Sunday-Thursday, $140 Friday-Saturday. The Hotel will accept 9-day package reservations until January 18, 2010 or the block is full, whichever is first.
