Triple 9s in Elkridge MD has a good short set double elim tournament on Saturday nights. I haven't been to it in a couple months as I'm usually at Top Hat (Parkville MD) on Saturday nights.
Will probably hit Triple 9s this weekend though. You should come out and get in it. Usually has a strong field. Winners side 8ball race to 3. Loser's side 9ball race to 3. Loser breaks. 20 dollars to get in and scratches cost you 50cents.

I had a terrific lesson yesterday at Brews & Cues, with one of the local players that I met in Vegas last summer. Thanks to Steve for treating us very well. This a great room with all Diamond tables. :thumbup:

Thanks for the steer to Triple 9s...I've been there before. I'm teaching in Manassas Sat. and Sun., and then headed south, so I'll have to miss the tournament this time!

Another great lesson today, with an attorney in Springfield VA. He had his grandfathers 100 yr Brunswick table with Kling legs. It was not refinished, but is in very playable condition. The table played great! :thumbup:

Glad you posted. Was going to post that I'm not going to 9s afterall. Having some tip issues. Can't get the cue in the shop until Monday. Guess it's beer and video games this weekend.
Dean...It would be my pleasure. I think that would be a lot of fun! I have to warn you though...my wife will only let me play for $10,000 game...nothing less! Fortunately I don't have that, so I'm safe! LOL
