Mike Fingers is from LI, you can ask Steve Kurtz. In NYC/LI, straight pool is still pretty popular. At Amsterdam Billiards in NYC, their 14.1 league is spread over two different nights to accommodate the players.

In years past at this event, Fingers was one of the few good commentators on the stream. He is good at covering 14.1.

Hoping Fingers blasts Schmidt today too

Horrible stream in the 1st semi tonight. A lot of buffering. Do they even lock others out of the router? Then they won't even admit the issue on Facebook. Won't be buying tomorrow.

Yeah, they had some problems today. During the Robles/Badstuebner match, the stream was out for 8 minutes or so. UpstateAl said that resulted from the service being refreshed in Montana. ???

All went well during Hohmann's two matches, so we got to see him run 150 (maybe 149) & out and 95 & out with some terrific play.

So tomorrow it's just one match, a 300-pointer -- Hohmann vs. Robles for the title.

I know Mikey for many years, we’ve had some great matches together.

Mike also plays in my Straight Pool League at Bayshore Billiards on Long Island

Mike is like a fighting bull that doesn’t quit, really knows how to grind when he needs it

Mike had a great tournament, we are all very proud of him.

After this week though I’ll have to certainly raise his handicap in league.

There was a couple of hours where it was buffering yesterday besides just the outage. Then once it came back up the moron on their Facebook page said it is working for EVERYONE and no problems with the stream - check your connections. They don't have a clue what PR is. Guarantee Al don't even have the router locked out, like he used to have the problem with at Steinway. I'll skip today.
