I have a Sailor Cue that has been sitting in my closet for years and I think I am ready to let it go for the right price. It was custom made for a friend of mine and I acquired it about 4 years ago. I don't know that much about it except for that its in great shape and it comes with two matching shafts. I am asking $550 for it. I accept paypal. I have attached some pics. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

When the sunrises this will sell!!!

I'm wondering if this is a Burton Spain blank?? Frank would have took measurements, watched your friend Play- and then made a custom cue based on their size and Playing style. He was also 1 of the best teachers of the game. you don't need luck to sell this one- mark

Wow

I had no idea there was such a good market for Sailor cues. Now the question is how much is it really worth?? Am I selling it for too little? I guess is there anywhere I can take it to get it appraised and maybe learn a little more about it's history? I would be open to a trade but my problem is I do not have the custom pool cue knowledge to know if I would be getting ripped.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Has it sold at your current price? If not, maybe it's not too low. It might help to take better pictures, especially of the forearm. Someone suggested it had points but I don't see them if they are there.

Good luck w/your sale.

It appears to be a solid ebony forearm...no points. In today's market, I don't think you are far off in your pricing. If you were, it would have sold immediately. Sailor makes a nice cue and he has a following, but his cues don't seem to bring a high price. Althugh it means something to you and your friend, the fact that it is personalized really hurts the re-sale value and marketability of the cue.
