Can anyone tell if the rail facing should durometer the same as the rail rubber. i have notice that most rail rubber runs around 50 on the durometer but the facing run around 80-85. Shouldn't they be the same?

Harder facings will kill the energy on the ball as it enters the jaws, making it drop in the pocket easier. Softer facings make the ball rattle more, and tend to launch poorly hit balls across the table.

I use 60 Durometer neoprene facings :) Far better than those canvas type rubber facings!

Question: Does anyone know the durometer of the brunswick superspeed cushions???

Thanks

If you extend the rails won't the facings be same as rest of rail? Just curious here.
