PATRICK 2.0
why 2.0?
because 1.0 wasnt up to par
i wasnt happy with a couple things on the 1st cue
i told patrick about it and i sent it to him anyways,
not that i was hoping he'd take it,
but so he could SEE for himself firsthand what i was talking about
and he could hit with it and all that good stuff
damn good thing i did that, patrick didnt realize how skinny my cues are
so at least we were able to determine that he had to have a thicker cue
he must be a BIG guy
2.0 has a much fatter handle than 1.0 did
from that experience, i NOW make it known to a potential customer, what my finished dimensions are
2.0 is a little different than 1.0 in design
i used 3 shades of blue veneers with grey paper instead of black, for the first time
2.0 has ebony handle rather than leather wrap
2.0 is bumperless and a 4pointer , 1.0 was 3pointer
i'm pleased as hell with 2.0 with the looks and the hit
sorry patrick, i "borrowed" your cue for a few hours saturday

and i just have to say that patrick has been the most patient and understanding guy i've ever dealt with
a real pleasure to work with
thank you for hanging in there with me

indigo, light elecric blue & electric blue with grey paper
holly rings, black linen rings, blue veneer rings

Brent,

When you are honest with people up front you will usually get patience and respect in return. How refreshing to see.

I am building a big cue for a guy and because of the details and time involved with this cue, I have decided to build 2 cues to have an insurance policy in my bag should something happen to it along the way. Since this man is an addicted cue person, I wish to make sure that my deadline is met.

Good form man,

Rick

I see you stole the idea of illuminating a cue...you saw those on Ebay, right?

I have a few questions:

1) Did you use LEDs?
2) What kind of batteries does it take?
3) How many batteries does it take?
4) Where do you put the batteries?

But seriously...the cue is beautiful. Very well done!

Beautiful cue. Thanks for showing it. You said that the original cue was "too skinny" for his liking...could you please tell us what the size of your "normal" cue butts are? I prefer cues that are thinner in the handle and butt than the old school "fatties".

certainly
these are just approx. but very close
1.0 was 1.21 at cap, about 3" up from end of handle, grip area was about 1.13
2.0 is 1.26 & 1.17
so, roughly 40/1000ths diff where hand will be
it's like nite & day, approx 1mm thicker
imagine a 12mm shaft & 13mm shaft

Brent,

Appreciate all the updates along the way and the finished product looks amazing. The journey to getting this cue was a lot of fun, Brent is great to work with.

I grew up shooting an 80's Joss that I still use to this day...and Brent matched the Joss butt specs to this cue so that it would be pretty seamless as far as thickness.

Looking forward to ordering another one. :)

Beautiful cue, Brent! I, for one, really like the size you normally use for your butts.
