I just received 2 nice cues direct from Jim Pierce. Jim's cues are really nice players...Jim has several pro players who are now playing with his cues, including Jose Parica. The balance, shaft tapers and fit/finish are all top-notch.
Cue 1: This cue is built from osage wood...it looks a lot like goncola alves to me. Specs are:
-Butt: 16oz
-Shaft: 3.6oz, 13mm, MasonH micarta ferrule, LePro tip...has one small mineral streak at the ferrule
-Joint: 3/8x10 natural linen phenolic
-Black phenolic rings at A/B/C/D/E
-Osage wood forearm and butt sleeve
-Natyral linen phenolic butt cap
-Signed "JPierce '12" above the butt cap

Cue 2: This was Jim's personal playing cue. He just reconditioned it and it looks like new...one shaft has some blue on it. This cue is the very first cue that Jim ever did inlays in...he did a really good job on them. Specs are:
-Butt: 16oz (has weightbolt)
-Shaft 1: 3.4oz, 12.65mm, Juma, Kamui med tan
-Shaft 2: 3.4oz, 12.6mm, Juma, Kamui Black medium
-3/8x10 Juma joint
-Black phenolic joint collars with the old JW style maple check rings
-Birdseye heart-wood forearm...really sweet wood
-Four ebony points (2hi/2lo) with 2 veneers, white/black
-Each point has a Holly tiffany diamond inlay in it
-Textured black leather wrap
-Solid ebony butt sleeve
-Juma Hoppe ring
-Black phenolic butt cap
-Signed "JPierce '12" between the points
