Booked mine last night and it will be my first time going. Every year I planned to go and every year something happened to prevent me from being there. Granted one year my fiancee' planned on us going to Italy which I certainly can't complain about.

I promised myself last year come hell, or high water I was going to be there this year. As soon as I saw reservations were open I jumped at it.

I planned on going for the whole thing, as I get an extra week of vacation next year. However, my wife lost her job and I don't know if I am going to be able to make it at all. I am going to try.

This will be my first time going. Does the casino serve free breakfast? Do the rooms have mini-fridges? I basically plan on living there during the DCC and while I will eat there I wouldn't mind bringing some food with me as well. Just like cereal and milk for breakfast unless they serve breakfast for free.

Last year, I did not see a free breakfast nor expected to see one. This is a Casino not a Holiday Inn or Hampton, no disrespect intended. Keep in mind, this Casino is 15mins away from any another other restaurants/hotels. So your stuck there to eat what they sell unless you bring something with you. However, the standard rooms don't come with refrigerators. You can probably get one put in your room for $15 a day, but then you could spend that on breakfast. I did use the coffee maker to brew up some hot water for a couple instant soups when I didn't want a big buffet or spend $10 on a drink and a sandwich at their cafe near the lobby. Below is the standard items, which were in my room, but you can go to the hotel website to get this info or drop them a call.

thanks for the info Popeye hope to make it down there this year lol I have said that for a few years now tho:rolleyes:

NP. I've been there two years in a row for the banks event only. This year I'm on the fence with either going to the USBTC in Reno at the new venue/casino for all three events, haven't been there in three years, or going for the whole Derby event.
Cheers, Mark

Headed down for the banks again, I do it every year and would not miss it! I can't imagine not staying at the hotel, it's well worth it IMHO!!
