Simonis stretch window?

Does anyone know what degree of speed change effect can be achieved when stretching/installing new 860HR? Damage risk? How much installation latitude actually exists? What is the normal procedure/goal? Is it simply a matter of the individual installer’s opinion/style/etc.? What about climactic change consequences? Details appreciated.

You want it stretched tightly, but also evenly. Which means you need to learn the "stretch index" of the cloth for the table you are covering. Your initial pulls need to be a percentage of your maximum stretch, otherwise your subsequent pulls will not be as effective. The tighter it is, the faster it will be, but the difference is not great unless the cloth is very loose. Simonis has some videos that show how to calculate the stretch index. They are old, but still very informative.
