anyone know if these statements accurate ????
thanks

What I can tell you is that on the weight bolt is a number. Cues with a number of 1000 or less were built under the watchful eye of Hall of Famer Bill Shick. Although Mr. Schick did not help with any of the actual building of the cues. This was all done by Mike Roberts and his crew

Also Mike was supplied with blanks an good wood for those early cues from Bill

That's close to the story I've heard over the years
Ted,
thanks for post ….

I read in Blue Book , I think,
" that Bill Schick was chosen by Mike to assist in the cue shop setup "
I got a sweet 4 pointer-
PLAYS LIGHT OUT TOO !
I going to post some pics this weekend

The extent of Bill’s involvement in the making of It’s George cues....he hand-engraved the first batch of cues’ butt caps because they were late getting their logo template. That is all. He relayed this to me personally when I asked him some years ago 🤷*♂️

What ever happened to mike roberts

I used to talk with him all the time,he was like a lot
of the old cue makers in the Billy Stroud mold

He loved action in the pool room

Not that Mike or any of the others could play like Billy or were so dangerous
But more like me,they loved seeing ,betting, and having a little fun

i bought a few dozen of Mike's cues and hundreds of his cases, nice uality stuff

Funny, I knew billy schick too,but i don't know the details of
their relation or the details of numbers on the cues

where is Mike today?
