I just want to say congratulations to Chris Robinson from my Pool Hall, Stiix Billiards in Ventura for winning the 15 - 18 age catagory in the Junior Nationals last week in Las Vegas. Many of you may have seen the article in the latest issue of Billiards Digest where I was quoted as saying we expected Chris to finish very well in the event. Chris is a great young fellow who has improved his game to this level in about 3 years. So it can be done. There is talent out there and if allowed to blossom the pool world will be OK in the USA for some time to come. I add that his talent is from Southern California where we haven't seen this skill level in an under 18 year old in a long time. The sky is the limit for Chris but first he is going to China to compete in the World Eight Ball Championships.
