New?

Those are new?

Yikes!
The hand prints on the inside!

Love those flat cross supports.
I hear that a wood support is stronger being flat, then on edge.

I recently heard(garczar) that Yalin produces the Gold Crown
6 for Brunswick. Maybe this would explain all of these clone
GC6's I see?? I wonder if they make all the Brunswick tables?
Who knows what the fate of ole Brunswick is, maybe Yalin
has the loot to buy them?
Crazy how things change.

IMO MDF slate liners are not ideal. But really hard to believe they survive in the tropics. That stuff blows up like a marshmallow as it gets damp. Then rots.

I tend to like your posts, often because you do such an ironic balance between trolling and genuine curiosity. :) Can't tell in this instance?

(I don't think any beam in any material will support more weight when laid flat as opposed to being on edge and adequately sized or braced to avoid buckling)

Damn bro, you hit the nail on the head! I bet he is an
interesting guy in real life. I don't understand the anonymous
part of this website. Why the need for a screen name? Mine is
my name and where I am from :)

P.s. Mchnhed: Still love you man!!!! :)

Of course that support should be on edge and made of multi-ply.

You are correct that it is a cheap move to use any MDF for the slate liners.

Trent...you’re making me blush! ☺️☺️☺️

I do respect your passion for the work you do.

I don’t argue so arguments sake.
I just feel sometimes us small people need some encouragement and support when asking questions here in this section.

Some of us do not have anyone even half component to do work on our tables, so we turn here to do it ourselves.

Also, by reading and asking questions here we as consumers can be informed enough to spot bad “recover”, “table mover” guys who should not be doing any work on a table.

Thanks. There is a TON of good information on here, I would
not be where I am today with out this forum. I may come
across as abrasive, we all can get a lil crazy on here, but,
I mean well. I am very passionate about this business.
Thick skin is what it takes to survive this world and this forum :)
Things have calmed down a ton. I love the forum, the good bad and the ugly.

Details

That finish on the top rails looks dull and uneven.
Probably real wood but soft, with a cheap varnish finish.

I have seen Tables in PI and they are poorly designed, made and finished.

Most people never look under a pool table and know what to look for when they buy it.

Beauty is only skin deep.

This table is actually a little better than the popular Maxima table down there.
It's still pretty bad, of course.
That "frame", ugh!

The pictures are terrible quality.

Most likely are formica and not wood at all.

Trent

If that’s Formica, then that’s even worse.
Dull.
No telling what the rail design inside is or the woods used.

I am talking to a developer in PI about having a Billiards, Bowling, Children’s Gaming Center in a new MEGA resort development. I will consider local PI and Chinese tables depending on the design and construction. They are not going to like my attention to detail when looking at their tables.

I would love to bring in Diamonds but the Government places a 100% tariff on imports.

Chinese pretty much copy anything they can to make money on, they are good old capitalists. Buyer beware.

Several years ago I was at Gunshow fellow was selling Microtech Ultratech Knives, total copies. The tell was serial number was in wrong location, and all had same serial number. Even the boxes, and warranty cards looked real.
