what are the best days to attend DCC if you can't go for the full 10 days...
Ive never been there and would like to see what dates other people think I can get the best experience of the event, watching pros, and after hour action... I see the schedule and events i wan't to see online but would appreciate opinions thank you

If you're watching the pros go for the final two days. Upper balcony on the right all the way to the front above the TV table are the best seats

Right not left.

You can't go wrong with the 1st weekend. Watch Shane try to win another Bigfoot Challenge on the 10ftr. Watch a little Banks on the side.

The best thing about the Derby is your never sure what is going to happen next. Games pop up out of nowhere. Just try to get a seat in the action room around midnight and something will happen. The last day of 9ball is pretty neat, you can really see the pros shift into a more serious, I want to win mood.

This is my first time going to DCC. I picked the 3 day finals VIP tickets. I'm hoping to get some nice pictures of some legends while I'm there. In particular, Efren.

I'm going Tuesday through the end which is what I normally do. I have less interest in the banks than I do the 9B. I like to see the 14.1. I wish I could see the 10B too, but I have to make some choices.

I like getting there the Thursday night before the banks start cause that's usually when all the road players have their bankrolls and this seems to be when most of the jump off action takes place and its like a circus for a little while (still not the executive west) but I enjoy it. However IMO there is not a bad time to be at the derby.

Will be going for the first time this year, looking forward to it. Playing our national finals for American Rotation before the banks start, then I'm planning on playing in banks and 9-ball as well and spectating in between. If I played one pocket would play in that too.

Should be a great time, lots of spectating and action and playing a little will be cool as well. As people said, probably not a bad time to go if you can only make it for a few days.

What would you like to watch? That really determines when you should go.

The first weekend is for banks and many would enter it to get full access to the rest of the tournament without having to pay the admission fee. It was also a way for the tables to get a lot of action on them to break them in.

Many of the pro would turn up for 9 ball only as they were committed to other "warm up" tournaments where they could make some money for the side games.

Most sweaters go for the late night action that will be the ring games, or challenge matches in the arena, or challenges in the action room, and sometimes wagers on some crazy stuff that isn't even pool related. There is action everywhere where amd you always have a chance to wager as many side bet opportunities are available.

The best time to go is when you can. You may find that you are bored after a day or wish as most of us that you could be there longer.

If you need a break from pool there is also the casino.

Enjoy and have a great time, and take a lot of money.

Opening weekend

I agree with most that opening weekend is usually best. Not sure when I will be there as the idiots who run our league scheduled the city tournament opening weekend of the DCC. I really think they do not know how to read a calendar considering most of the people in these leagues go to this event.
