Equipment Specifications.

Under the current BCA and World Standardized Rules, cue specifications state the maximum tip diameter is 14 mm. As long as I can remember it has always been 14 mm. Can anyone definitively show that it has ever been more than 14 mm. Any help would be appreciated. MR. Bond?? Mr Jewett??
