that danny can really play pool, but i thought gabe hung in there until the very last

i wonder who the best players in one pocket are

i would still bet efren could beat tony or danny if they played o ne
of these heads up matches

especially if i got laid a price

who could rank the top 20 one pocket players ?

it would be interesting to see the rankings

Robo,Alex.Efren,Shane,Danny,Tony,JJ, myself a few other greats

Boys ,boys

my list was only specimen and not exhaustive

Lets remember the Freezer, and many others

What do you mean "especially if I got laid", lol? That would be an incentive for all us to bet. Certainly Dennis and Alex would be at the top of any list and Danny will be among the top players deserving to be included in the discussion. Efren, the greatest, would be hard put to win a grueling long match at this point in his life. Frost certainly would be a threat but IMO he has taken himself out of the picture due to business obligations and responsibilities.

If Tony put up $100,000 to play Efren...

Do you think you could get Bata to play and what price would you be looking at?

I don't think Efren will go for playing even but you never know.

Dean didn't believe in reincarnation in his last life....and he doesn't believe in it now.

Then he must be refering to the 90+ year old bracket, but I'm not to sure he'd be ranked in the top 20 there either....unless he's betting there's only 19 others still alive that age that can actually still hold a cue in their hands.

Long sets for big money. Doubt you'd see more than a handful of players outside this group willing to take any of these guys on.

Efren won't generally sit still for a beating, even on backer's money.. And I def think he's not the favorite against Tony...

Danny stays in combat.. Reminds me a little of Keith McCready when Keith was Danny's age.

Danny competes in tournaments, but he prefers after-hours events, challenge matches and action.

I also like the fact that he's not afraid to play anybody. He has no fear. A lot of other players want to spend hours handicapping and matching up, looking for somebody to drop their wallet. Not Danny Smith. I like the kid.

I think the days of seeing Efren play big money matches against top players is over. He is also attending far fewer tournaments now and playing money matches in the PI against lesser players and getting spots!
And then again, I could be wrong, lol. How many times have we written him off and watched him make yet one more comeback win?
They have been saying similar things about Francisco for a few years now, but I haven't seen his game slip an inch.

Efren has a big show coming up in Thailand...or perhaps it’s already done.
I would like to see him get a world tour like this...he deserves it.

One person that I would put in the top five based on his performances in the Make it happen events and other action matches he has played is Shane Van Boening. I think Shane can hang with most anyone in one pocket if he wants.

Supposedly Shane and Danny Smith have a scheduled match in February. Anyone have current info on that event?

Why do I rank Efren so high?

I might be living in the past, but I can not help myself

He still plays good, gets to the finals etc
maybe the travel, awayetc is hard on a fella

but I will still bet on him

Also,I am just thinking with my heart

But my head tells me if anyone wants to give Efren
weight,or the break or something
i will bet on him

in a word,Love not smarts

I feel funny but there is something about him that
brings forth feelings of admiration

I think Busti should be on the list and pretty close to the top!!! He beat chohan even like a year and a half ago. Idk how much he's playing overall not to mention one pocket but he surprised the hell out of me when he played Tony with his knowledge of the game. I guess that's what happens when you spare w the goat (Efren)
