You might as well use a piece of paper and that is a lot cheaper.

I use them. They are fairly durable and can be washed.

i have used the same set for about 30 cues now and they work great. just clean them with denatured alcohol.

I use up to 8000 on my shafts and for polishing out scratches in clearcoat on both my cues and my cars. Never used 12000 because the scratch pattern with 8000 is so fine that it finishes up with a mild compound. If you jump up the grit scale too fast you're making too much work for yourself. Better to go step by step in finer grits.
