Hi,

Does anyone know approx value or have any knowledge about my find here?

The balls are 2 1/4 diam and approx 5.6 to 5.7 oz weight per ball. I was told they are really old.

Thanks in advance!
Steve

Plshrk22,

Thanks for the response. I've never seen the triangle on the cue ball. What is the deal with that?

That's the standard cueball on one of the Super Aramith sets. It's been retired just a few years ago. Not a collectors item. If it is, I've got one that's in mint condition if anyone's buying ;)

Unless they are ivory they are worth pretty much nothing, not even as a useable cue balls. I used to buy and sell tables and I always sold them with a new set of balls.

As a result I had drywall buckets of old pool balls and cue balls. I could not give them away and finally just throw them all away when I got tired of looking at them.

I've given a lot of balls over the years to plumbers...they use them as
drain testers.
Some cue-makers may use them as ferrules, collars, or decorations.

I tried making house numbers out of them. I would cut them in half and mount them on a piece of wood.. Problem was they faded very fast out in the weather.

I usually get them for .50 cents or a buck at the flea market/antique fair. There was an antique shop that had some and they were asking 40 bucks for one. I laughed out loud when I saw the price tag....

They would be "really old" only to a teenager. Standard cueballs, in really bad shape.
Hopefully they did not sell them to you as antiques with price to match.

An old guy I know when I was a kid took a few mismatching sets of balls and drilled a screw Into the bad sides. He then painted a wall in his game room green and attached the balls to it. As I recall the wall was also painted with pockets too. He took a few old bar room cues and hung them up too. Was kinda cool.

A great idea for some cool billiard folk art, although I bet he didn't use bumper pool balls.
The bumper pool balls are the problem here, I still say donate them.
