My last Road Trip

Here we go - I just bought a Class B motorhome from a guy in Esko, MN, just south of Duluth. It's a customized Ford ambulance that was too cool to pass up. I've been on the hunt for a few months now and this one was by far the coolest I've seen, and we made a deal.

I have been attempting to find a shipper to bring it to California but the price is outrageous. So I'm thinking of flying to Minneapolis and from there go to Esko and pick it up. It's a 2,000 mile trek back to L.A. so I would make a little road trip out of it. The route I have mapped out is highway 35 south to 90 west. That turns into highway 80, then 76 and then 70 all the way to Utah. From there it's 15 south the rest of the way. If you are somewhere on that route I would love to stop and visit you.

What I need is someone who can give me and my wife a ride from Minneapolis up to Esko (about 150 miles). I would be glad to reimburse them for expenses and maybe a little something extra. I'm hoping someone on here lives in that neck of the woods and wouldn't mind helping out a down on his luck broke pool bum like me.

That's easy. Quit your job! :D

If someone wanted to drive it to L.A. for me that would be worth a thou, plus I'd pay for gas. You can sleep in it on the way, not need for motels.

many of the car rentals let you do a one way trip. i do it regularly with enterprise.
mine is a two hour drive and they charge 60 bucks.and i keep it one night.

or can do two ubers as they only will take you 100 miles. but some will anyway.

or fly to duluth and have him pick you up.

Sponsor me in a few dart tournaments along the way and get me a ticket back to Indy and we got a deal.

2010 Ford Ambulance conversion

God bless all of you who responded to my request! I managed to work out a deal with a carrier to ship it to me on a flat bed for a reasonable price. Less wear and tear on my old body! One of these days I will make "my last road trip" and drive this baby across the country. It's a beauty!

Take a look in the mirror of the last pic. That is an identically set up Ambo conversion. I'm having trouble getting them right side up. At least I was able to downsize them and post.
Lots and lots of storage inside and out. Solar cells to keep the batteries charged up. A small generator. Bathroom was a must! A cozy double bed and even a little loft bed for a child or pet. All those toggle switches control the outside lighting system and security system! Even a small work or eating table that folds out. Ford V-10 motor that gets 10mpg. At least it has all the power you need for climbing hills. I'm guessing this baby weighs north of five tons. 22' long, 9' tall and 8' wide. Dualies in back and all new tires.
