This may sound crazy, but I've heard of people microwaving their chalk or leaving it on their car's dashboard on a hot summer day. This seems to bring the oils out in the chalk.
I only mention this because I am a Kamui user. My first cube was their 'alpha' blend. You can no longer buy that, so I now am using the 'beta' blend. While it is still good, it is no where near as good in my opinion as the 'alpha' blend. The 'alpha' painted on the cue tip much more than the beta. Both were in .98. I'm not sure if I got a bad cube or not, but it's just not the same. I've tried the Predator chalk and was very impressed, but nothing to me compares to the Kamui 'alpha' chalk (the little cube).
Are any of you guys anal enough to condition your chalk in any way? I mean it could be as simple as taking a typical piece of Masters chalk and placing a drop of oil or something. I don't know. That's why I'm asking you guys.
