Yep on USBTC - thanks for asking!

More coming later this week.

In Vegas In May ; approximately 16/17 thru 23-24th.

It will be finalized in 2-3 days.

It is unbelievable- it is taking 4-6 months to get contracts done in this town - the casinos just never return calls or always out of town.

I don't want people to think we have been snoozing but we are working our asses off to make all this (and Fargorate) work for the betterment of the game.

Thank you for your support. (PS note the time on Sunday that I'm working!!!)

Glad to hear you got a date for it but disappointed it's not in the reno area anymore. Vegas is a little too far for me. Thanks for the answer anyway.

Speaking of Fargorate, will they have any involvement in the One Pocket or 14.1?

No Fargorate for us opens

FargoRate does not collect any data for one pocket or straight pool or banks. Only 8-ball and 9 & 10 ball.

So, the answer is Fargorate will have no involvement in these events. It will provide an opportunity to see how the relationships holdup, but that's like a coffee table discussion.

all great news so happy for these events mark..

but i think the one pocket should be same as 14.1 600 entry and same prize money then its a good wage :)

5k winner looks poor for a us open..just my opinion

You must not have any idea how much dead money guys put into these type events. Even the Barry US Open, lots of people who play just to play with no hopes or chances of winning.

You can't have both things. If you get a higher entry, then you WILL lose people and your 1st place money is all for not.

Us opens

Probably wouldn't fill up to 64 (judging from past years numbers) plus the time and tables needed.

This is the first year. We are actively looking for some sponsorship assistance. The added money now is coming from us. After we get a couple of years under our belt, we'll go for the WPA sanctioning - but that takes either $50 or $75,000 added.

This is a start. Hope to see you there. With the SBE right before it, that's 4 events in about 10 days!

There will more info coming and updated qualifier locations!

but its Limited to 48 players ? world 14.1 the same and gets the players... Sure a us open Title you would not have a problem reaching that number if the entry fee is 500 lets say.. most of us are in for a few k anyway during that period with sbe so few extra hundred dollars not going to hurt but Benefit the Prize Fund

But thanks for heads up pal :)

I Play Full Time Pool so i think I've got a idea lol.

Not really any dead money in a 48 player field paying $350 For a US Open Title. If the field 256 like us open 9 ball was at one time then of course that generates more prize fund and as you say lot of dead money BUT THEY STILL PAID $600 ENTRY.

With a 48 Player Field US Open One Pocket Title, CSI are not Targeting the Dead Money Entries they are Hoping To Attract 48 of the best players to Enter. And 90% of the field will be tough. Thats why the Entry Should be Min 500 IMO I Can tell you now at least 30-35 players that will be in that field before entries taken and i know these guys would pay 500-600 entry to make the prize fund better ..

US Open 9 Ball now 128 players paying 1k But the Prize money better now and you still get Some Weaker players but Obviously not as many because Limited to 128.
And in a 48 man field its going to be a very strong field and easy to fill if $350 entry or $500-600

Plus East Coast and right After SBE So no Problem getting 48 players Paying 500-600.
But that extra 10k ish would make a big difference to the prize fund. anyway thats what i would do..

My Argument is when you got two prestigious events with 48 players fields only! You are only going to get the Cream of The Cream in these Type of events.. Yes the odd guy will enter for the experience and because they got the money to spend thats always the case and thats fine. But Most of the field will be well known Players.

But i Respect CSI Decision and will play regardless.

I'm probably missing something but you have a 48 man field in the one pocket tournament doesn't that mean 16 players will get a bye in round 1?? If so, why not make it a 64 man and hopefully fill it so there are no byes.

not enough time..

the top 16 seeded players should get the bye based on certain rankings etc
