MIZERAK "DOVE BALABUSHKA" All of Steve's cues tucked in the family closet now seen

MIZERAK COLLECTION WILL BE AT THE HIGHENDCUES BOOTH#358 SBE STOP BY.
Here is one of the GREATEST cuesticks of alltime.

The MIZERAK "DOVE" BALABUSHKA

Classified The greatest traditional Balabushka ever made.

The "LITE BEER CUE"

4 straight US OPENS
•1970 US Open 14.1 Pocket Billiards Championship (defeated Luther Lassiter in the final)
•1971 US Open 14.1 Pocket Billiards Championship (d. Joe Balsis)
•1972 US Open 14.1 Pocket Billiards Championship (d. Danny DiLiberto)
•1973 US Open 14.1 Pocket Billiards Championship (d. Luther Lassiter)
•The "Dove" Bushka was also used in the 1976 LITE BEER commercials "Just Showing Off"
• Pictured in every illustration In Steve's 1st book " Inside Pocket Billiards" 1973
•This cue was used in many other tourneys in Steves long career
• Most photographed and documented Mizerak cue of all time
USED BY STEVE IN 5 DECADES

Straight out of the Mizerak family closet where it has rested since his death in 2006.

This cue was ordered and purchased directly from George Balabushka by Steve Mizerak around 1969.

Steve asked George to put the Mother of Pearl "Dove" in the backend which turned out to be a Mizerak trade mark.

The MOP garnished blocks in the railroad tracks is also a unique special touch.

The inlay patterns in this cue are unique , and the 2 1/2" 4 piece inlay in the points are incredible.

This cue was always refered to as his "Baby" and Favorite cue as his wife Karen told me.

Anyone who knew Steve understood the bond he had with this cue, as told to me by Denny Glenn (Friend and largest Bushka collector in the world) and several people that were closest to him.

Steve often bought, sold and briefly played with various cues. But, would never let his near and dear go. Steve has used this cue for 5 decades. Back in the later 90's Steve took an offer he couldn't refuse for his baby for a little over a year, but was heart broken being without it, and got it back immediately. The cue never left him till his passing in 2006.

There is a laundry list of people that know this cue well. to name a few, Tascarella, Searing, Szamboti, Glenn, and TONS of world famous pool players.

Steve asked one of his good Friends Dennis Searing who he trusted, to refinish his Bushka's in the 90's. Steve also asked Dennis make 4 shafts for the Dove cue, and 2 shafts for his other Bushka.

LOA from Pete Tascarella.

Also in Steve's closet rested his collection of other cues and memorabilia
• Steve's other Personal Balabushka
• Steve's Personal Tascarella player
• Steve's LONG used Tascarella break,jump,player
• Steve's 1989 Richard Black snooker cue signed and dated.
• Steve's 4 consecutive US OPEN Trophies
• Steve's Cases "Just Showing Off"

Enjoy the pictures

thanks

After a rough day at work it is great to get on AZ and come across a cue like this. Ken you always seem to pull gems out of the bag and this one is up there with all the other great cues you have shown over the years. Thanks for not hiding this one and sharing it.
