This is bit ridiculous, a debate on stroke style/type. I don't even think diehard baseball fanatics do this with sidearm vs overhand pitchers? Do they? What about submarine pitchers? Lol. There are greats using each style, just like the pool player's stroke. I was straight overhand with a baseball, but sometimes I'd throw a quick sidearm from nowhere...whatever felt right for the moment.

I still don't know exactly which classification my pool stroke fits into as far as piston or pendulum, and I couldn't care less, because whatever I'm doing feels right and works for me. I think major stroke overhauls may benefit beginners, but usually all a developed player needs is a little fine tuning with what they already have.
