I'm sure you can see that.
Most white men respect things that are respectable. Just like the rest of the human race.

Do you denounce black people when you hear them use it?

If not, why not?

Do you listen to rap music when that is part of the lyrics?

If so, doesn't the use of the word "offend" you?

I wasn't around for Hitler or Mussolini. I remember feeling relief over bin Laden.
It is nice to see that you don't rejoice over the death of every individual you consider a piece of trash. Not all on here would agree with you.
Am amused that now we invaded Saddam over Kuwait and not WMD.
To think we were at war with Eastasia and now it's Eurasia.
LWW will know what I'm talking about.
The first gulf war was because Saddam invaded Kuwait. That is clear. In my opinion, Saddam should have been removed from power at that point. The truth is, that was the first war since Vietnam and it wasn't clear that the American public had the stomach for it. In hindsight, I think it was a mistake to not finish the job. There would have been a power vacuum, but it was the right thing to do.

Saddam used chemical weapons on his own people at the end of the first gulf war. That is a fact. Saddam Hussein had repeatedly violated sixteen United Nations Security Council Resolutions on weapons inspections. That is a fact. Speculation has it that chemical weapons from Saddam made their way to Syria. Not proven. A chemical attack happened in Syria in I believe 2013. Fact. For the 16 violations alone, I feel it was justified, maybe not wise but justified.

Even though WMD's were not found in Saddam's possession does not mean he didn't have them. Presidents, generals, and leaders have to make judgment calls on imperfect information. Sometimes they are wrong and sometimes they are not. It is very easy to look back and point fingers. Hindsight is 20/20. It is all too easy to look back and fit the narrative to your beliefs.

You have your opinion about Bush and Cheney and I respect your viewpoint even though I disagree. We live in an imperfect world and always will, but trying to do the right thing isn't always black and white decision. It is far more complicated than that.

Art is much different than language!

Artistic expression can come in many forms! Music, theatre, painting and etc.

The Supreme Court already ruled on Luther Campbell and his group "two live crew" regarding obscenity in music and art...

The n word is an obscenity. It's use in artistic expression is protected.

What is not protected is its use in language and is considered a verbal assault in most legal venues.

As a teen, it was cool to sling the word around with friends. But, I haven't used it in 20 years! I could be exaggerating ! But, it certainly is on the decline with age and maturity.

Just my 2 cents.

Nice evasion.

Do YOU admonish the black folks around you when the WORD is used?

If rap is "art", can a person of ANY race sing the WORD, or only black people?

Art is art, isn't it?

Come on. Tell us.
You want "equality" and all....but want to be held to a different standard when it comes right down to it.

That in and of itself is RACISM

You act as if, I complained about someone singing their favorite songs with the n word. To my knowledge, I have never made that argument.

I don't even complain about the members here, let alone that issue. So, where is all this coming from and what is the point that is being made by this line of questioning???

It's because you speak "double-talk", or "hypocrtiese".

You say black people are offended by the "word", but it "was cool" when you used to sling it around with your boys. Then you say you don't consider it cool anymore and it is "disrespectful" to use the word, but only if it is used by someone who isn't black.

It is the same when you "deflect" from the constant shootings of black people by black people in Chicago every weekend, by saying a white cop shot some thug for something, even when it is pointed out that the thug had a weapon and a lengthy rap sheet.

It seems that a lot of blacks won't take responsibility for helping to cleani up some of the messes in their own backyards.

If blacks spent as much time marching and protesting the rap lyrics and shootings as as they do "playing victim", I think it may help turn things around for the better.

You sound like you wish the black community well!

I do to...

Where we differ is your belief that the outcome is and would be the same regardless of set backs from racism and etc..

Rap music and erosion of the family unit is so huge that police brutality, racism and drugs are drowned out....

I just don't see it that way. I believe that people when given a chance will grab the opportunity and make the best of the opportunities available...

No one sets out to fail on purpose...

Ahhh, yes. The acts that sing about killing white men and babies and police officers?
I guarantee that some white guy made songs about killing blacks..it is racist.

You love those double standards, don't you.

You have ZERO interest in admonishing your peers about their behavior, even if you know it is abhorrent...but expect others to do it for their group.
